Yes, it's backwards. Hilarious.

Gibson faded sg.

Being a lefty, it's really hard to make decisions on buying guitars/basses as I don't get to try them first. And wanting to stick with short scale wasn't helping matters. But I just went for it and ordered. I'm glad I did. This thing fits me perfect, I mean perfect. Looks rad. Sounds rad(although I am playing through a 15 year old hartke b30, haha). Neck pickup sounds nice and deep. Actually can get a not terrible slap tone from the bridge pickup, though a little off balance. Neck dives a bit. I use a three inch neoprene strap and could feel it wanting to fall, totally manageable though. I might switch to some smaller lighter tuners eventually though. I dig the faded Ebony finish, definitely feels better than any gloss I've touched. On with the pictures.

That is beautiful! I remember the other thread; I sincerely hope it works out for you. I think they are phenomenal, especially considering the cost. Good color choice also!

I'm GASing now.

I had an Epi EB0 with an added bridge pup that I snagged off evilBay that I gave to my son. It had a nut width closer to J Bass width than what your appears to be, and I'm sure I'd like yours better.

Good score. That color does it for me more than the cherry whatever.

Very nice bass! I'm glad our suggestion worked out for you. You won't regret the SG bass.

Me, I did some radical changes to my SG bass. I'm considering going further with a TB Max neck pup in the middle position and some wiring changes.

Have you done anything to help with the neckdive?

It's not terrible on mine when the bass is in front of me, but I tend to hold it toward my side, kinda like Mr Cash. It dives really bad then.

I don't wanna go throwing too much money into mine yet. I would like some smaller, lighter tuners though.

Wood grain is visible, just not really in the pictures. You can feel it, too
