A rare bird here. It is a limited edition, only 1000 total made, few of which made it to the US, and fewer yet that were made 5 string, like this one. Excellent condition, comes with original hardshell AFR case
This is an original not the new cheap reproduction model. Serial number 0020
$2250.00plus shipping from 98250
Price reduced to $2000.00 plus shipping
This series was designed by Swiss luthier, Rolf Spuler. His design incorporates a 34" scale maple neck that extends half-way through the body with a thumb slot, a pearl/abalone AFR insignia, and a pearl block with Ibanez and the serial number inscriptions inlaid into the body, located between the single coil pickup and the piezo loaded bridge system. There are individual piezo volume adjustment slots on the back
It is an ergonomic, light weight, great sounding and extremely rare instrument . From my understanding the 305 series had an upgraded body wood (two piece book matched solid Flame Maple), compared with the 105 and 205 series. Finely crafted, ergonomic, light weight only 8.4LBS., great sounding and an extremely rare instrument. Controls are Volume Blend, treble/bass stack
-Truss rod works perfectly, neck almost flat no buzz
-Action slammed with no buzz, excellent fretwork
-19mm spacing
-intonation perfect, adjusted volume using pots behind rear rubber cover to even out piezo output
-pickup height leveled off, very even and strong output across the board
-When centered the piezo pickup almost acts as a bridge pickup, while the single magnetic pickup brings more bass and "dub" to the mix, overall much more traditional sounding than you would expect. The boost/cut for treble and bass is very wide range and useable, from hi-fi slap tones to finger funk and muted motown bass.
