Didn't think I'd ever let this go, but my needs are changing and I can't justify keeping this around just to say I have it. I've used this for several gigs over the last year and a half and it does indeed have the thicker high end Chris speaks of below. And needless to say, it gets LOUD.
This is a cab I purchased directly from Chris Bauermeister of Jawbreaker. It was part of his touring rig from 2017-2019, including two Riot Fest reunion performances and touring. Everything is as it was when I bought it from Chris.
Asking $700 for a local(ish) sale (open to meeting Portland/Bellingham/central WA). For obvious reasons, I don't want to ship this unless I absolutely have to. All shipping would be a buyer's expense.
In Chris's words:
"I've been using Mesa Boogie Road Ready 2x15s ever since Jawbreaker reformed as a needed step up from the 2x15 I was using in the 90s; I find the bass tone I get from the ported cabinet balances well against the high end response of the speakers. I prefer 15" speakers in general - and these Tone Tubbies in particular - as providing a "thicker" high-end than smaller speakers while still delivering bass response. Combine this with one of the GK RB800s I've also got up and your own vintage Fender bass and you'll be a long way to being able to get the bass tone I use onstage and on most of our later recordings.
The speakers on both of these Mesa cabs have been replaced with the Tone Tubby's described, so the rating will be different from stock; the interior photo is of the actual setup on this second cab (it looks different from the stage photos because I blew those particular speakers up and replaced them - several times)."
