I appreciate the sentiment, but it's a church with an all-volunteer sound crew. Unfortunately it's been hard to keep good people running sound and that's the way it is sometimes in small to medium (<400 member) churches.

I've also got to put myself in the sound engineer's shoes (and I feel like I have a good perspective from that side because I ran sound for 20 years). I wouldn't want the keyboardist to bring a new keyboard, the singers to all bring new mics, drummer all new cymbals and a new snare, etc. every Sunday. The last thing you want to do with limited practice time together is to introduce a ton of new variables every week.

That's where I'm at right now. I may get cold feet and end up keeping these basses because they're all amazing.

Amazing price for an incredible bass! Rob Elrick is one of the most talented luthiers on the planet. I own one of his basses, it is a magical instrument. This one will make the new owner very happy!

I just measured with my calipers

1 7/8" at the nut
3.0645" at the 24" fret (~3" at the 21st)
~.850" thick at 1st fret (eyeballed as I didn't remove the strings)
Symmetrical profile
It's a fast, comfortable neck IMO

Thanks , I also think the bigger headstock looks great! Anyway you can get me a twelfth fret measurement. Im so used to judging the nut, first and twelfth frets as my gauge of a neck
Ive had a neck through 35 that I really liked but had a much older Elrick whose neck was much thicker

Looks like .890" @ the 12th fret if I'm measuring correctly.
