New Price: $650, and buyer pays actual shipping. Gorgeous surf pearl active PJ with Jazz-width neck in virtually flawless condition. I can't find a mark on it, except some very faint and unphotographable wear marks on the pickguard. Even the edges of the (snug but not super-tight) neck pocket are completely intact.
Note: this is the more recent, more expensive upgraded Deluxe PJ, with the 18 volt preamp, high mass bridge, and active/passive switch. It was only around for a few years before it was replaced by the almost identical (but even more expensive) Player II Modified Active Precision Bass, which has a P-width neck, whereas this has a Jazz-width neck.
The Player II version, with the P-width neck, has a street price of $1149 plus tax right now (but is not available in this color).
To my mind this is the best of the three versions: Jazz width neck, 18v. pre, high mass bridge, active/passive toggle, and a lot less than $1149 plus tax.

I bought this a few years ago after giving my daughter my previous surf pearl PJ and then missing that beauty in my guitar rack. Since buying it, though, it has sat unplayed, along with all my other 4 string basses. 98% of the time, whether at home or at gigs, I am either playing my Dingwall or Rob Allen 5-strings. I've been more than happy to just enjoy the sight of this one every day in my office/music room, but we are retiring and downsizing, and I won't have the luxury of this much space in our new house.
This model originally came with a black pickguard, and the previous owner replaced it with this black pearloid one. I don't have the black one.
Other than the pickguard, the only other non-stock item is a set of Dunlop dual-design strap buttons, which work fine alone or with the matching straplocks.
Weight is 9 lbs 7 3/8 oz.

Not looking for trades. The only thing that I might consider would be a 5 string Dingwall SP1 or Nashville Edition
