It's a 35" scale length, I had thought this would be an issue for me but I barely notice. I can play it as well as my 34" scales, and I don't have particularly big mitts at all. The neck is super slender and fast, it's a fantastic- and my easiest- player. Still, I've got another that's a favorite, and needs have arisen. The sale of this will ease it. Someone's getting lucky here.
This US made Peavey G-Bass has been modded with an Aguilar MM style pickup (bar magnets, dual coil). The bass now has three knobs instead of the usual four, the 2-band eq has concentric controls.
The original on-board pre has been swapped for a Seymour Duncan 2 band, 9v harness. There is also an Aguilar 2 band harness that will be included with the bass. The original Peavey pickup will also be included.
The sound is reminiscent of a Music Man Stingray, a little smoother sounding; sweeter highs, a little less sizzly. It sounds hefty, well focused and modern, almost has a little throaty growl to it.
It's been refinished a Chrysler white by a professional auto finisher. The neck is by Modulus Graphite, it's a graphite composite layup shell around a wood core. Very stable, lots of room left in the truss rod. Set up is currently low and fast.
There's a Hipshot Bass Extender installed, and it's got Schaller straplock buttons (I don't have the straplocks).
The sale will include: a Fender soft gig bag, the Aguilar 2-band preamp, and the original Peavey pickup.
I'll ship to the lower 48.
Price is negotiable...
