Roscoe SKB 3005. Purchased used from FretSpot back in April. Redwood over swamp ash, ebony fretboard. 9 lb, 4 oz. Very good condition, plays and sounds excellent! Really just an outstanding bass, and if it were a 4-string I’d keep it. Happy to take additional pics if you want them.
Edit: I should have included these specs initially: Nut measures 1.81” by my calipers. String spacing is adjustable, but is set just a hair over 18mm (I believe Roscoe’s default is 18.3), and scale is 35”.
Has the following issues of note:
- Pickups show a bit of wear
- Typical hairline scratches.
- Finish checking: 3 to note. Biggest extends from the bridge along the body edge for 6-8”. There is another smaller one running between the bridge and the strap button. These hide pretty well in the grain of the redwood, but can be seen at the right angles. Also a small neck pocket crack. All have been recently stabilized by James Hood Guitar in San Marcos, CA.
Asking $3000 $2750 for a sale, also interested in a potential trade.
- 4-strings only, I’m selling this one because I don’t need (or want) a 5 anymore.
- 9 lbs or under, or close enough a tuner and knob swap could get it there.
- Updated trades: Stingray Special 4H or HH definitely preferred. No J or P style, got those covered.
- I’m fine with a few cosmetic dings or possible work needed if the neck is straight and the bass is sound.
- Trades +/- cash considered.
- Local San Diego area deals are a plus, but shipping is not a problem.
