Sweet example of a 1976 Fender Precision in Natural finish. Ash body, maple neck (looks like one solid piece) with a little bit of honest wear but nothing drastic. Plays great, no sign of a Fender flip and has that great 70s ash body tone. Not the lightest, not a beast. As far as 70s ash basses go, this is mid weight but not light. I will try to get an exact weight. Not looking to ship at this time but will meet in a fair wide range of New England. Case is era correct as well, nice orange interior and all the clasps work.

More photos added below. Yes, I have a 76 J with the TV logo, this one has the later 76 smaller logo. Frets are in pretty good shape, wore flats a lot, some wear in the top 4 or so but very playable. Some dings and dents along the way but overall pretty darn good shape for 50 years old. Weight is 10 lbs 2 ounces on my bathroom scale.

This is a great deal, looks just like the ‘76 P I picked up recently but with the bigger headstock logo.

1976 was the transition year for both the s/n placement and logo.
Early '76 still had the s/n on the neck plate and the last of the "TV" logos, until the
s/n transitioned to the headstock in later '76 along with the more "streamlined" logo, which lasted into the early 80s.

Agreed - fantastic price!

Just a heads up, the P for sale has the smaller logo, not the TV logo. Seller mentioned it in his ad.

OOPs - Thanks! Aa little "misdirection" there... Updated my post. Someone's still getting a great deal!
That was my bad- our basses both have the same smaller logo but I thought yours was the TV Logo when I first replied. I should sleep more often I guess lol
