2017 Kiesel Icon 5. I purchased this from longtime TB Member, 6and5 in 2022. The bass arrived from him in excellent condition, and I’ve kept it in equally excellent condition. I initially had a professional setup performed on it and had it re-strung. I mainly used the guitar at rehearsal, and played it at less than a handful of gigs. I’m downsizing my collection, since purchasing a Fender American Ultra II Jazz Bass V last year, and I’m looking to purchase a new amp/cabinet rig
All of the following guitar information and the attached photos are taken from 6and5’s original classified post:
“There is one minor ding on the lower horn and a slight rub mark where my arm sits (see photos). I’m happy to provide more pictures as well.
· BODY: Chambered swamp ash/claro walnut top, with black middle layer
· BRIDGE: Hipshot™ A-Style, adjustable. Factory setting is supposed to be 17 mm, and I have not adjusted it.
· WEIGHT: Approx. 8.75 lbs.
· ELECTRONICS: 18V Active/Passive Electronics, Master Volume/Push-Pull Active Passive Switch, Pickup Blend, Stacked Concentric Bass/Treble, Stacked Concentric Mid With Sweep. Shielded control cavity.
· FINGERBOARD: 14" Royal Ebony
· HEADSTOCK: Ebony overlay
· FRETS: 24 Stainless Steel Medium-Jumbo, .103 Wide X .048 Tall
· NECK: Tung-Oiled Maple/Black limba w/ Two High-Strength Carbon-Fiber Reinforcing Rods And Fully-Adjustable Dual Action Truss Rod. Luminlay Super Blue Side Dots.
· NECK WIDTH: 1.75” Wide @ Nut, 2.75” or 3” (?) Wide @ 24th Fret
· PICKUPS: Stock Kiesel Radium KRH Radius Top Alnico Humbucker (bridge), Kiesel split coil (neck)
· SCALE LENGTH: 34"
· STRINGS: D’addario 40-120 currently
· TUNERS: Kiesel Guitars Premium Bass Tuners, 20:1 Ratio
· FINISH: Tung oil
Original Kiesel gig bag included.
There is a spare pickup located inside the gig bag. It is a NOS single-coil Kiesel Radium 6and5 picked up, that he bought to try out, but never got around to installing it.
Helpful note: If you’re thinking about swapping pickups, the bridge route is P2 size, but it’s pretty tight. So make sure you get one that’s on the narrower side of tolerances or you might have to do some light sanding/routing.”
$1,500 Local Pickup (Ventura, CA), or I can coordinate shipping.
Edit: Fixed photos from showing up too small.
