This 8.82 lb classic has been played plenty and has the beauty to show it. Comes with upgraded Gotoh GB 350 Res-O-Lite tuners and a Mike Pope 4-band Flexcore onboard preamplifier with a Sadowsky knob set. The dual truss rods are doing their job peerlessly on the Maple and Purpleheart neck having minimal fret wear for the age. The Wenge fretboard imparts a raw growl to the sound, and the dual coil proprietary radiused Bartolini pickup arrangement gives a very Ken Smith Peavey Cirrus, Sadowsky Modern kind of tone, but with a certain focus , fullness, and impact that is fun to play and easy to hear in a dense mix. The Pope preamp suits this bass far better than a TCT that was abandoned long ago. Will include one alongside the original tuners at buyer’s request. USA Nashville, TN build.
