I joined a jazz quartet last year in which the other players love to rehearse. For the comradery, exploring theory and generally to hang. They are not as experienced performing, so seem to get more out of the rehearsal experience. They are great people and I enjoy the rehearsal experience too...

Guessing the person has been burned in the past or is looking for an out from practice session. Some bands have various combinations with members communicating in separate threads. A change could be made to a rehearsal and not everyone gets the update. If you have a demanding full time day job...

Has anyone successfully replaced the pickups on an Epiphone Viola bass with good results? I've checked out some posts and know some of the theories and suggestions. Would love to hear from somebody who's pulled it off. Thanks!
