I still have my first bass but I've bolstered the ranks with another two but one is currently taken apart to restore. 1. SX Ursa 1 (Got this back in 2012 and it's certainly seen some action, both studio and live. It's got a nice round sound but doesn't really sit too well in a mix.) 2. 1986...

Bolt-on for me, due to the fact that I can easily replace a neck with a screwdriver and some patience, among other things. :P

I've got a rather simple question and I wasn't exactly sure where to post it but... What set of strings usually ships on an SX Ursa 1? I'm thinking either in-house brand or D'Addarios. Any help would be appreciated. :hiding: EDIT: They're roundwounds, btw. Probably 45-105.

Honestly, here's what a bassist would need, genre and cost notwithstanding: A bass with roundwounds installed (active or passive) A bass with flatwounds installed (active or passive) A fretless A 5 or 6-string bass A beater bass to practice on Just my $.02 :hiding:

What's with the headstock? The bass side seems to be made of a different wood than the other side and the neck.
