Hi, Has anyone ever attempted to mod the MXR M80 Distortion channel to smooth it out a bit? If so, what would be required to do so? Just curious, as the pedal can sometimes sound fizzy and almost too over the top.

I know there have been a lot of posts about the issue with the Korg Pitchblack concerning popping noise from the bypass circuit. However, I can't seem to find anyone that has successfully modded the pedal to solve the popping problem. I am one of the unlucky ones that has a popping problem...

This was a far more urgent issue to me at the time. Still is, with surprisingly less headache involved... ha.ha.ha...
