I just modded my Squier Jaguar bass by replacing the jazz pickup with an Aguilar. Both pickups now sound great on their own but when I try to blend sounds I have some volume and tone issues. The main problem is that when both pickup are turned up all of the way, volume and tone drop off...

I have the 30' and 34' Jag basses and love them both. I wanted the '32 but they are out of stock and not expecting new deliveries with factories being shut down. Expect to be pleasantly surprised. I have a hunch that the Jags are Fender/Squier's little secret. I may mod one or both of them but...
