Stringing through body would work fine in terms of the ball ends. Only problem being now, I've already cut the strings to fit top load... So now they're just a touch too short for through body. I didn't notice the ball ends being like they were until I went to sort the intonation after stringing up!

Just the standard Fender high mass bridge that came with it. My Jazz bass has the same one.

Two on the left are the GHS. Right are Chromes. Won't pull fully into the bridge even when tuned up to pitch. Bit of a strange one!

I finally got around to stringing up my P bass with GHS flats yesterday. Hopefully this isn't just me being insanely stupid, but the ball end on the GHS flats seem bigger than the ones on the chromes they were replacing. As in they don't quite fit into the bridge when top loading, they bind on...

This thread persuaded me to buy a set of Precision Flats. Always liked their Bass Boomers on my Jazz so I'm looking forward to putting these on my P bass when I get home from work!
