    Thanks for the information. As far as the linseed oil goes, I'm a mom of 2 very young girls and I do not use those types of products. My Step-Father is a piano technician and restores/repairs pianos and they won't use highly flammable products either. Just our over protectiveness I guess...

    I've also read a lot that lemon oil will dry out a rosewood fretboard. That's kind of why I was staying away from it.

    Linseed oil isn't an option for me. i have 2 little girls and am not willing to work with it in the house. I was not aware that pure Tung oil was a finish though........ Also wanted to add that I'm not trying to finish the wood, just maintain it.
