not sure how old this post is, but we are also experiencing "finish cracking" on our walnut burl top. VERY disappointed that this is happening especially how well we care for ours (2015 birthdate). To refinish or to repair at Fodera can get expensive and we still haven't decided if we are going...

this is a great bass. and prob easier to play if you are a smaller guy than your 6-string Smith :)

GORGEOUS. great bass!! Have you ever played a Rogue or Europa? how different are the "tones" and is it truly unfair to compare those (really nice) Alembics to the Signature Standard Balance K which to me, seems like an instrument at a higher level in terms of look, build aesthetic, electronics...

Is the color actually that yellow on the top? or does the front actually look closer to the back color?
