Why does everyone hate cargo shorts? It gets up to 100 degrees here!

I have only seen one bass player use a stingray here in Oklahoma, but I do notice a lot of EBMM or SBMM users on the internet, probably because of the stingrays popularity in funk genres and because of its slap tone.

There's nothing wrong with disliking weather report, I don't really like them either but posting that your not a big fan on talkbass is suicide!:D

I've been looking for a five string musicman stingray for a while now, the other day I saw a warwick pro line thumb BO 5 at a local mom and pop store, it played and sounded great they'll sell it to me for $870. I play every thing from funk to metal my main right now is a fender american special...

I'd reccomend a american standard jazz, there around 1400 new but can easily be had for 900 used. I've heard good things about the road worn series but I'd go to a store and play around on some jazz basses and see what you like the most.
