I have the Genzler MG350-MG12-COMBO and I was thinking about buying another cabinet to use with it for when I want more stage volume. I play a 5-string Dingwall SP1. Should I get a second MG12 cabinet or would something else be better? I definitely like the low weight of the MG12. Thanks! Alan

Santeria is 17 years old, and Basket Case is 20. So maybe not as classic as some stuff, but these are some of our "newer" material, so I think we qualify as a classic rock band. Besides we're mostly a bunch of old guys, which is the real reason we call ourselves "classic". :-)

Good question. Right now we are a little limited on our PA power, but we are looking to upgrade to some more powerful speakers and a sub soon, at which point we'll be putting him through our PA. I'm thinking him having enough watts to stand alone without relying on the PA would be a good thing...

There's a used Fender Bassman 250/210 in our area. They are asking $420 for it. Doesn't seem like a very good deal compared to a new Rumble 500 combo for $500 though. Any thoughts on this?

Portability is important. The 4x10 is going to be heavier and bulkier. I do see what you're saying about the combo version being more for his money, but it seems like being able to take the head home for headphone practice would be worth the extra money. He could buy an inexpensive speaker...

I guess I should specify, we're more of an 80's and 90's hard rock band. Think more Van Halen and and less Stones. Sounds like he needs at least 300 watts and a 4x10 cab. I'm encouraging him to buy a separate head and cab because I think it would be convenient for him to take the head home...
