Genzler Amplification Club

Any opinions or advice about whether or not to put the BA SLT cabs up on something to get them off the floor? Bad idea? Good idea? Is the angled cab design enough for you to hear your sound clearly with the cab sitting on the floor?

Great amp! I have one as well. I wish I used it more - not because it’s lacking - but all my playing is DI/IEM these days.

Looking at all the great Genzler rigs sometimes makes me wish I used an amp more often.

I prefer to put something under the front to angle it up more, like the old genz Benz shuttle cabs. I do that with my 10-2 and usually can hear myself ok from a couple feet in front.

Sadly it looks like the dreaded time of having to let go of my Beloved Mag 800 has come, I knew when buying my last Spector that it meant I'd have to sacrifice My Genzler head, Cab or both. Luckily it looks like I might be able to keep my NC212t, but I think though I want to hold on to my Mag 800, the most responsible decision would be to let it go, I've got interested buyers on another platform.

My question is this, as I will inevitably become a Genzler head owner again. Has there been any talk in a future different series of heads? I know Genz Benz had some offerings like the Shuttles/shuttlemax, Streamliners, and GBE. And while I think the Magellan is already pretty much the ball hit out of the park. I wonder if there is something to hold out for before I get a Genzler again in the future.

My guess is something will change by the time you're ready to buy, again. When I snagged by G-B 500c back in 2013, I didn't want anything else. Now, 11 years later, I'm looking for something significantly easier to tote and less than 50 pounds. Genzler has what I want and still connects with the sound of amp I love. My bet is the same thing will happen to you. It will be lighter, better, cooler and sound just as great.

The MG heads are amazing. The new pedals are amazing. The cabs are amazing. But there must be something cooking for the future. Genz Benz and Genzler have never really been about tubes, save for the preamp, so I don't know if I'd be looking for tubes, but you never know. Maybe something in the 2 channel vein, like the old Shuttle Max 12? You can kind of get that with the preamp/DI pedal. Stuff is already really light, loud and sounds great.

IDK. Where do you go from here?

Hi all, but maybe Jeff, this is one for you.
I have a BA 10-2 that I bought a while ago as a combo with the Mag 350, I got it second hand....it sounds great. But taking a closer look at the mid range array drivers, the central dome is scooped inwards not like the ones on my BA 12-3 which are domed outwards like a half ball. I know they are different drivers but looking on the web at other BA 10-2's they also look domed outward, as best I as can see on web pictures??? Is this correct or did the previous owner push them in for some reason??

Thanks in advance and all the best, Steve
