@SCB, not to worry. The original BA10-2 cabs did have inverted dust caps like you see on yours.
That was a design element.

His direct response and conversations is what led me choose the BA15-3 over the BA12-3. Jeff’s opinion and information was spot on and what I experienced when I got the BA15-3 SLT. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!!! Thanks again Jeff.

The MG heads are amazing. The new pedals are amazing. The cabs are amazing. But there must be something cooking for the future. Genz Benz and Genzler have never really been about tubes, save for the preamp, so I don't know if I'd be looking for tubes, but you never know. Maybe something in the 2 channel vein, like the old Shuttle Max 12? You can kind of get that with the preamp/DI pedal. Stuff is already really light, loud and sounds great.

IDK. Where do you go from here?

Name the product line Gen-Z.

And an all-in-one amp/micro-array/DI about the size of a JBL bluetooth speaker that works like a Yamaha THR-30 II wireless.

Thanks, Jeff, for the speedy response and great products, I am really enjoying my Mag 350, BA10-2 and BA12-3 rig, it is fabulous how you can get a variety of characters of sound, all of which are musical, out of such a small rig. The only downside is……..I would love to add another BA10-2 but it will have to wait until funds allow.

Well I have a GENZ/Mesa rig, but there has been a change. Now it is GENZ/Mesa/GENZ. Picture says it all! Now I have IMHO, two of the best heads out there backed by superior design and engineering, not to mention absolutely the best support.

I am wanting to buy the Genzler 350 head, but am unsure the best 112 cabinet that would fit my taste.

I think that you really need a Mesa Subway 115 to make the grade for what you are playing.

don't be surprised if everyone on here recommends a Genzler BA12-3 (either the straight or slant).

I've played tons of P-bass with flats gigs with my Mag 800 and BA12-3 straight (I was an early adopter, and have never looked back). perfect for me and my ears.

Now, I've also used a single BA 15-3 at one point, which worked better for my 5-string P-bass (and which I used in one band mostly due to female singer and keys that required a 5-string). But when I left that band, I sold the 15-3.

either one would be ideal for your situation.
the 15-3 will give you a more pronounced round bottom end, as the 15 inch speakers are known for, but not tubby or boomy. the 12-3 will be more "punch in your gut" good.

The NU Classic 115-T would be an ideal match for your needs. Get’s that old school sound and can produce some clarity with the tweeter. Truly a great, versatile cab! Check them out here:

I already have a 15 (Ampeg B100-R combo) and I am aiming for a 12 to get a more focused sound. My 15 is a bit loose and un focused for me.

Have you compared the 12 and 15, and why would you suggest the 15 over the 12? Thanks again for the info

If I may interject. There is nothing in the Genzler line that is loose or unfocused. Like the old car commercial used to say, "this is not your fathers Oldsmobile." IMHO a single 12 would be a bit more mid focused vs the 115 which will give you a bit more smooth low end. Old school country, P bass with flats I'd be looking at a Nu-Classic 115 or the 212. If you want something a bit tighter and a touch more modern the BA15-3 would get it done. Just my 2 cents.

The drive channel is great. You can add a little warmth or nice grind, plus mix match with the A and B contour to give you even more options - all of them great!
I’ve had my 800 for 7 or 8 years and it’s cured me of gas for amps.

Check out Nate Navarro’s NC115T demo in the link @Joeykun provided above. That cab has a balanced full range tone with a big but controlled low end. The NC115T would dominate the NC112T as a stand-alone cab unless the smaller size and weight were more important.

After visiting a bit with Jeff, he sent me a cab and said if you don't like it, send it back. If you like it, keep it. I still have it. (I did pay for it. )

I've had maybe 3 or so interactions with Jeff. A new (on the house) handle for my Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0-10T combo years ago. I had a hum issue and he called me on a Saturday morning to figure it out. Last was the above cabinet question and response.

There's a reason many of us played Genz Benz before Genzler.
