Interesting. I’ll read the paper and get back to you either in a PM or in a different thread. My first thoughts are that we saw this kind of weight loss before in mice with fatty acid synthase inhibitors, which, if I remember correctly (it was more than 20 years ago) eventually were shown to be acting through toxicity. On glancing through the figures, it seems as if the authors did a pretty good job controlling for that. The upregulation of PPAR pathway (alpha, beta/delta, but not gamma) is intriguing, but the difference between mice and human in PPAR effects can be very murky (cardiac liabilities).

I try to always temper my reading of these things by remembering that for all that they do say, none of that is anything that they don't say. But besides weightloss, which would effect many people, the potential effects on a fatty liver are very interesting.

Inline. 3 on the tree. In 1980s vernacular it was a "2+E" gearbox so very economical once it got going. Drove the south coast both ways and the east coast both ways.
