I highly recommend Labella's LTF. I have them on my Maton Bindarra Bass and my Eston. They just seem to get better with age.... retaining a beautiful deep thump at the start of the note and no horrible metallic overtones. They have been on for a few years.

I use Gallistrings Synthesis Flats on my Eston fretless acoustic. The synthetic core works so well with the Fishman pickup and preamp. I used to use Labella LTF on the bass but now prefer the Gallistrings.

I have an Ibanez asb140.... semi... whenever I play it the sound is so mature and grown up compared to my other basses including a fender p bass. I have replaced the stock pickup with an emg... the emg leaves the stock pickup for dead!
