I know they changed the headstock in 83. I Heard someone say that the factory didn't paint solid over mahogany. So maybe it was a mahogany slab that got dinged at the factory and painted over it.
So, this bass is amazing ...
Is there a reason why they stopped making this version of the late 81'/early82' hog/ maple?
Or is this bass a special order. Because I have yet to see another bass like this.
