Surprised no one has posted this but Peavey announced new Cirrus at NAMM 2023

    Cort Persona Basses!

Anybody know what happened to these? And they should have put the bridge closer to the end of the body, there's like a whole inch of space there. That would surely have improved neck dive a bit

    Sire M7 Club

Changes I personally wish Sire would make to the M7: Deeper bottom cutaway all the way to the 24th fret No exposed pole pieces (so ugly, especially on the 6 string.. there are 48 of them!) 17mm string spacing 34" scale length 5 string Longer upper horn to the 12th fret instead of 13th

How the StingRay HH should have been

Last one I promise. StingRay HH vs. Corvette $$, if the StingRay's neck pickup was moved

How the StingRay HH should have been

Out of curiosity, decided to compare StingRay HH vs. Corvette $$ vs. MTD Kingston Super

How the StingRay HH should have been

On the SBMM Ray34 the screws have a little ramp thing. I personally like the way the two screws look though

How the StingRay HH should have been

Amazing job on this post and the graphics. Really helps visualize the tonal possibilities. I agree with everything you said. Hadn't even thought about the three thumbrest positions. Another option I also thought about is instead of having a 5-way switch to use a Vol/Vol setup with Push/Push...

How the StingRay HH should have been

The red lines were used to line up the pictures of the basses, the other lines are where the pickup pole pieces are of each bass (e.g. green = jazz bridge pickup. there are 2 lines for 60s/70s position)

How the StingRay HH should have been

I personally enjoy bright tones. The neck pickup on the StingRay HH is definitely too muddy/dark for me. All depends on the genre you're playing I suppose. Probably doesn't sound muddy to you if you're into something like Motown, but it doesn't work for the type of stuff I like to play.

How the StingRay HH should have been

Didn't know that he did, found the video. That's pretty much exactly what I had in mind Lol. Although I don't think he put any kind of switching/blending controls on it, just both pickups full blast. Sounds pretty damn good

How the StingRay HH should have been

Wow this thread got a lot more replies than I expected. Nice to read everyone's opinions  If you check the photoshopped picture in the first post, it can get pretty damn close to the Precision position For both these basses, the bridge pickup isn't in the "sweet spot", it's much...

How the StingRay HH should have been

Anyone agree that the HH version of the StingRay would have been better if the neck pickup was moved closer towards the bridge? This would instantly solve two of the main issues people have with the HH: - pickup getting in the way of slapping/popping (especially now with the special having 22...
