I just knew that the red with tort combo was going to look sweet. That is the combination that seems closest to the original Goya Panthers from the 60's with their weird countertop laminate or "mother-of-toilet-seat" pick guards. I love it!

I deal with export approval at work on occasion, and it is extremely irritating. Sometimes things get flagged that just shipped a month prior but in a slightly different form, and now it adds days or weeks to the process. Anyways, thank you for keeping us updated, Sonia.

I ended up picking this up. Thanks to the OP for cluing me in to which Oregon area pawn shop it was still in after months and months. I have yet to investigate exactly why the extra piece of aluminum is under the saddles; maybe this weekend. Anyways, the bass is set to be a body/electronics...

Also, for anyone that doesn't feel up to soldering, G&L offers their similar preamp in their online store assembled for under $50. The resistor/cap values differ, but it is using the same IC chip, LM4250C. Electronics - Preamp - USA L-series
