What song are you listening to right this moment?

I love damn near everything this guy does. Modern take on 80s post-punk, goth, early 2000s angst indie, etc.

Warwick Corvette $$ NT Bubinga experience?

I honestly think the Rockbass Corvette $$ I played sounded better than my NT Bubinga. And that had a maple neck, too. I seem to only like this bass in active with both switches down in paralell. At least it is beautiful.

So you swapped the pickups and the preamp? This bass cost almost $4000 when I bought it new in 2014. I am kind of hesitant to spend more money.

Warwick Corvette $$ NT Bubinga experience?

Hi, I have a 5 string version of this bass and I just can not find a sound I like out the of the thing. Anyone else have one of these and feel the same way? It has 2 switches, 3 positions each with active and passive sounds, but it sounds meh.

Dreaming up my next bass. Your recommendations and warnings for a double, reverse P setup?

You know what? I never thought about it like that. Makes some sense. That said, I just love the way my Spector sounds. I still want an all black P-bass with an acrylic round-over bevel pickguard for the look from The Wall tour, though.

Dreaming up my next bass. Your recommendations and warnings for a double, reverse P setup?

No problem. I wanted a reverse P for a while, then I realized the Spector Euro 4LX I had been eyeing for years was a reverse PJ, so I bought the best looking one I could find a year ago. I think I prefer the sound of a reverse P. The reverse P pickup alignment just makes more sense to me in...

Wow. You build this one yourself? That Rick shape is timeless and just *chef's kiss*.

For Sale LowEndLobster Bass BLOWOUT! Lots of basses must GO!

Hi, Did you ever update the electronics on the Newport like you had mentioned in your upgrade video? I'm pretty interested in this thing. The color is perfect, like a yellow Lamborghini LP500 Countach with a bit more orange.

    Musicman Sabre Club

I think it is just a Classic Sabre ordered with a Rosewood neck. And I definitely think the strong neck pickup in conjuction with the pre-amp are biggest factors in the sound of the old skool Sabre.

Here is the Classic I just got. Plays amazing, but definitely doesn't have the tonal magic my '79 has. Even with the various tone selections, it lacks something. Interestingly, the dome knobs on it seem to be a little less convex than those that came on my Classic Stingray.

Yes I did. They don't make anything that drops right in, unfortunately.

I'll have to do that next. I really wanted lollipop tuners but Fender doesn't make them in this style tuner :(

Here is my Fender American Performer Mustang Limited Satin Honeyburst I found at a GC near my girlfriend. Ordered some five-string tuners from Fender--which was a bit of a hassle--but it looks much better with the shorter tuners. I love the way 30" basses play. Sounds great being spanked with...
