May be too late but you can control the In and Out Volumes. One or the other may have been too low. You generally would need to adjust based on the instrument you are using. You get to these settings by tapping the In and Out boxes at the beginning and end of the chain.

I just received new mx5 which has the expression pedal. I used it at last nights gig. It sounded great and I received a lot compliments on the sound. Any ideas on a good wah on the headrush for bass.
