My birthday gift arrived. As said before, it is my first bass (actually first guitar of any kind. Always played piano, tuba, and trumpet but wanted to learn bass. Friend coming by tonight to jam.

My first bass comes in this week. Pictures when it arrives. It is a black Aerodyne Jazz. My wife bought it for me for my 50th.

49 years old and new to the bass (less than a month) and this forum. Kinda a midlife crisis thing. My wife prefers the bass to a leggy blond. Played piano since third grade but haven't been playing much for the last 25 years. Also played trumpet and tuba in high school and a bit in college but...
