As an update, I found a decent deal on an Orange Terror Bass 500 and it rips. I don't have a cab, yet. Just playing it through the PA. It's shaking the whole room and not even turned up halfway. And yeah, as mentioned, we are running in ears. So, I don't need a crazy large cab or anything...

So after a few days of driving around and trying as many amps as I could, I settled on the Hartke HD500. To my ears, it's the tone I liked the best. I plan on getting a 2x10 extension cab to run with it, when needed. But it seems it will be enough on it's own to cover the majority of our gigs...

So using two OBC 1x12's would be louder than one OB115? I suppose you'd be getting the full 500w with the two 1x12s?

This is relevant to my interests! I'm eyeing a Terror Bass, at the moment. The problem of "which cab" is something I'm contemplating. So many great options, it seems. There's an Orange OBC 212 around me. I could order a new Orange 1x15? I'm not sure the single Orange 1x12 would be enough...

I guess I should mention that I do own a Kemper and a Tonex. I use those with my regular guitar playing. I suppose another option is to buy a power amp and a good cab. BUT...... that kinda defeats the purpose of the simple grab and go option that I'm looking for. I could just use the Tonex...

The most we'd be out is probably two weeks at a time. No crazy month+ tours or anything. We'd travel in a Van w/trailer. So plenty of space to take whatever. But, a 8x10 would be way overkill. I could probably use a 4x10. That would be as big as I'd go. But a 2x10 or 1x15 is ideal. Easy load...

Not really a schtick. Just a 4 piece band with a female lead singer. No costumes or anything. I suppose the style is modern pop/rock with more of a rock leaning instrumentation.
