Is it vegan safe?

I accepted a new project in a semi established gothic metal band. They have a drummer, one guitarist, two vocals and an old giant pipe organ, the ones that old churches have... I never played in a band with such instrument. As a bassist, looking for some tips to stand out.

What strings do you recommend for 5 string bass to play progressive death metal? I slap and make tapping very often... I want to get a sharp, metallic sound on my both double coil humbucker pickups... I used Earnie Ball a lot but I wanna try something different.. I would like to get colorful...
