Agreed. Which makes me wonder, did the "artist" sand the original finish before painting? I imagine most people would have if they wanted the paint to stay there for a while. So even IF OP manages to remove the paint 'chemically', may be left with a scratched up body (and Missing /scratched...

Did the Cab in question show up in a Sealed (Taped & Stapled) Box? Do we know that it didn't come from OP opening this box, and a Staple got loose fell into a port perhaps? When I opened my SW 212 I was like a kid on Christmas Morning.. I was 'kinda Cautious', I also admit that I (CAREFULLY)...

I like cream covers on a lot of basses. It's not Horrible, but it sorta makes the bass look more yellow, or the "cream P/Us" look white. The two colors feel too close, yet not close enough at the same time. (If that makes sense). I'd have to see it next to the black covers. But, Who the...

This. I know a combo 'sounds' easier.. 'all in one' and such, but a Head= Cab is ONLY ONE more cable, connecting the Head to the speaker cab, that's it. As far as combo, I'd recommend Markbass. I won't recommend a specific model as there's many to choose from. :bassist: T$
