Assembling a rig made from one country.

Meanwhile in the Chinese gear forums, there is a thread about assembling a rig where all parts are made in one province. :D

Actually California is one of the states where you can assemble a rig made entirely ithere

I went to the High Desert Luthiery show, Entire guitar and amps -- yes bass amps and pedals are made in New Mexico. I'll have to pull the flyer but the nearest pedal maker is in Rio Rancho 4 miles from me and about a mile or so, someone is building basses and I think the nearest amp guy is about 4 miles. Yeah not class D but tube amps. They make cabinets too. No strings.

Our famous and probably longest boutique bass guy is Sukop from Red River NM but there are a few in ABQ. If I am in the market, I'll have these guys make me one. Unga guitars even winds his own pickups and he makes pedals and cases -

It's funny because while China is making everything for everyone else what about homegrown brands that people seek out? I know there's quite a few budget Chinese basses, amps, and loads of pedals.

Chinese rig: Glarry bass, Alice strings, JOYO amps, JOYO & Sonicake pedals.

I edited after you replied. In this not very big state population wise, except for strings, I can have a entire rig made here. Of course we have to source speakers from Kentucky - Eminence and honestly all electronics components will have to come from China , Japan or Korea. I did not know that we actually have a company that makes audio transformer etc that is comparable to Jensen. The name escapes me but the guy from Sonic Nuance in San Jose uses those components. I am sure other states like Texas -- they probably can do everything there as well. Many things have moved there and I will not be surprised if Ernie Ball will move their string operation from CA

mojotone makes great transfomers or maybe somebody makes for them but it's US sourced

I am talking transformers audio not power or speaker transformers.

The company is Edcor -- I was confused about the defense stuff different company. Yeas they do make speaker and power transformers also. Carlsbad New Mexico.

This company mainly do defense stuff but they make some audio components for mics, DIs and what not, and also stuff for high end film cameras and audio. They moved here from California.

Sonic Nuance makes really good DIs and he uses this company now as Jensen transformer are hard to get,
