Assembling a rig made from one country.

What countries produce enough gear to where you could put together an entire rig — bass, strings, amp (maybe pedals) — made solely from that country.

Some would be easy.

For example you could say;

US: Fender bass, DR strings, Mesa amp

England: Wal bass, Rotosound strings, Laney Amp.

Japan: Yamaha bass, Roland amp, do they make strings?

What are some others examples. This is just for fun.

Canada is close:
* basses from Dingwall, FBass, Godin etc
* amps and cabinets from Traynor
* straps from Levy's and Perris
* pedals by Broughton, GupTech, etc
* strings are the problem currently, but Northtone Strings in my city of Sudbury is getting closer to manufacturing (guitar strings will be first, but they've had a lot of interest expressed in bass strings)

Doesn’t have to be exclusive down to every bolt and circuit. Just generally made in said country.

Yes. That's where we're at the mercy of our trading partners (the strings).

I might add Empress, Fairfield, SolidGoldFX/Diamond and Radial to the pedals and DI's for Canada.

I assume listing bass, straps, cabs, etc that I build for myself are out, and we're looking at commercial stuff.

But, still fairly easy to do - there are a lot of people in a lot of places making a lot of stuff.

The local guy who made my straps is from Germany, so I'm claiming it.
Huh. I don't seem to own any effects made in Germany. That's inevitably going to come out in a late night Reverb scrolling.

I’m not a big Markbass fan but this week, I saw a show outside and the female bass player was using a 5 string jazz bass, a 212 cab and amp all from Markbass and quite honestly, it sounded great both direct listening closer and further with the pa.
