    Wish I had been told that for sure at the beginning....I just needed to know that it was NORMAL, and not an inherent problem that could worsen over time and needed attention....oh well, done deal, it's now in the past.

    FYI....I believe that GK uses the same 800 head in all their current bass combo amps, so they may be the same. good luck, enjoy!

    Gallien Krueger (GK) MB200 - How much noise is normal?

    Awaiting GK and Sweetwater replies re the problem....I don't know, I love the sound of this amp, I may have to just send it in under warrantee (it's brand new!) to get them to hear it and try to fix it. Since I found it in two separate Legacy 115's, it may be an endemic issue in all of them?!

    Hi there - for what it's worth, I have similar white noise from my brand new Legacy 115 combo. Comes on after about 3-15 min., sometimes comes and goes but mostly stays...occurs with nothing plugged in, horn off, any settings...it's a D pitch at the 19th fret on the G string....I turned off...

    ps did I read that GK uses the same amp head in all the combos? so the same problem could be in the 112 etc.?

    NOISY GK LEGACY 115 - Hi there. I just bought a GK Legacy combo 115 a few weeks ago. Love it, but after warming up, got a constant midhigh whining noise from the speaker, louder than it seems it should. Tried all combinations of trim, vol., eq, horn on/off, other cords and basses-no change...
