    I have a 60's original. No experience with the 70 s, but in general most sales are probably the 60's. Its a great bass. Really is.

    The noise did get louder. Brought it to a great shop II know. Changed the caps and now its silent.

    Very few companies stay with one version. Like you there is that little voice that says get it... get it. But the amp isn't necessary the reason for a better sound. Stay with what you got because you are happy with it.

    Very true regardless of the problem it should be solved if someone experienced can examine the amp. Im just saying the problem i had with the WT 550 was the same and what it was that fixed mine. I hope when he does have it fixed he can come back here and tell us what it was.
