Thanks, I think I have a fairly solid plan. I'm gonna use a stereo TRS to mono splitter to feed my clean bass amp, with the other half going to my pedal board and a guitar amp. It's a modest setup, good enough for my current circumstances though- just playing at home in my spare room at the moment!

Nice rig! Glad to hear that it worked well for you. I will do. That crossover looks like a solid option. Obviously I'll try separating the pickups first and see if that works for me. Thanks for the recommendations though. That splitter pedal looks good too, and for a shockingly good price...

I've been doing some thinking and I probably will wire it this way, with the Vol, Tone, Vol configuration (except with a TRS jack rather than the dual jack setup). Hard to go wrong if I just copy the diagram, plus I'm not sure whether I've got the high cut switch right on the one that I posted...

The idea is to use a splitter box to feed two amps, that way I can have the low end from the precision pup going to a bass amp and keep that clean, with the more trebly tone from the jazz pup going to a guitar amp, with some distortion. Hope I've got that the right way round haha! :thumbsup:

Thanks for pointing that out about the switches, I always seem to make that mistake! As for the caps, I do plan to solder them to the backs of the pots, its just that I'm struggling to get to grips with the software I drew it with so I did it that way! Can you give me a vague idea what's wrong...

The problem I'm having is that the routing for the screw loops on the pickup housing is closer together on the bass than the pickup housing itself. Oh yeah, I've seem a demonstration of the no-load tone pot on guitar on a YT video. The great thing about it is you get the best of both worlds. That might be the option for me!

Hmm... Bit of a head-scratcher really, everyone has a different opinion on the subject. Good idea with the push/pull on the tone pot, might give that a go! When I think of pot values I usually think of the tone rather than the output volume, as in, higher values are brighter than lower values...

I see what you mean, I guess it's parallel then. I've had a look inside now and it seems that each volume pot plus the tone pot are connected independently to the o/p jack ring connector, so not what I was expecting! I'm gonna get some shorter pickup screws so that I can adjust my pickup heights...

They're Ernie Ball Slinky's, so roundwound I guess.

Could anyone tell me if this is any good? As in, will it work, not from an artistic point of view.
