Jazz Piuckups- Which is which?

Basic question here, I recently acquired a cheap set of Jazz Humbucker pickups (Guyker to be precise). There's no mention of which one is the bridge or the neck, the only thing that differentiates them is the wiring- one has black and red wires and the other black and white. Can anyone hazard a guess as to which is which?

the two pickups are different lengths in most (but not all) jazz sets.

this is common:
- bridge pickup = ~ 3.73” (94.7mm)
- neck pickup = ~ 3.60” (91.4mm)

I always just match the pole spacing to the string. The bridge is wider spacing.

Yes, all the above: traditionally, the bridge pickup is the longer of the two with wider spacing between each pair of poles; the neck pickup is the shorter of the two with narrower spacing between each pair of poles. Also, there is a difference in the spacing of the "ears" for the mounting screws. One exception: some Mexican J-basses have two pickups the same length. Depending on the manufacturer, there may be a couple of hundredth's inch difference, but not noticeable comparing one pickup to the other. Diagram:

I now notice that one is slightly wider than the other. Guess that one's the bridge then. Thanks.
