Was just wondering if I could use my bass amp with an electric guitar? Would it affect the sound quality in a noticeable way? Would I have to have restrictions on volume? etc. Any help appreciated, thanks!

I was wondering how to properly mix bass into a track? Whenever I have tried in the past I can get it sounding really good through headphones but then you can barely hear the bass at all through speakers and vice versa. How do you mix so that it sounds good both ways?

Thanks a lot for the replies! Was hoping it wouldn't be technique but oh well... Shall have to keep at it. I notice when not plugged into the amp I can hear no problems though, is there any way to digitally replicate this nicer sound? Maybe with compression of some sort?

I record my bass directly into my computer using garageband. No matter how carefully I play I always seem to come up with noises that I don't want in the mix such as string buzzing and that sort of thing.. Is there any way to minimise this? All help greatly appreciated!

Thanks I really appreciate your help! :D What sort of levels should I be going for with the EQ? Are we talking no treble and no bass and full middle or is it some sort of midground? My actual amp is an Ashdown Five Fifteen which is not brilliant so Im not sure how close I can get.. :S

I am trying to play mini chords using frets on both the d and g strings however whenever I try and play these chords the note on the d string is not played and I can only hear the note on the g string! I have no idea what causes this, I dont know what I am doing wrong since I am strumming them...
