    first rig help!!

    ive been using an lh500 head for over a year now, playing small to medium sized venues and in my opinion youve got more speakers than you need. i would say spend the cash on a better quality cab that is a 4x10 or maybe 2x15. also dont be afraid to buy used!

    So after two threads, I think I've finally made up my mind on my first rig...

    the hartke VX is paper cones. i own a VX and for the money its a solid cab. of course i only paid about 215 american for it. it might cost a bit more in canada, but not that much more, wait it out, find a better deal.

    Is This a Good Idea? (Warning: Newbie Ahead)

    100 watts will get ya done. every band i was in between the ages of 15 - 19 the bassist used a 100 watt 1x15 crate combo amp and it did fine. this was a very popular model and i v seen them float around used for cheap. some people hat its sound but i really liked it.
