    Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group

    Hi everyone, just a beginner here, but an Hofner lover. I've loved the violin bass ever since I first saw McCartney playing it on tv. I own a Turser which is nice, but I'm saving up to get myself an Hofner contemporary. I'm loving this thread and hope to see it grow and grow!

    I think the Ric is a beautiful bass, absolutely love the look of it, however, they are so damn expensive that I don't think I'll ever be able to afford one, so here's my question, and I hope I don't offend any Ric purists here...but does anyone make a decent copy of the Ric?
