After some advice. Hoping to upgrade my pickup shortly and I'm a bit of a faffer so will give it a go myself. In work we use this solder, would that be ok for wiring up a pickup or does it need to be a higher spec or a thinner gauge? Thanks in advance

Yeah totally agree. I also have a ibanez sr500 and the bartolini pick ups are so much better than the jazz bass i have. Just wanted something to equal that as i dont get on with the thin neck as well as i do with the jazz. Thanks for the advice

Hey all, Been having a search on google and cant seem to find much if not anything on traben basses. Been offered a traben john moyer signiture bass trade for my ibanez sr500. Anyone have any experiences with trabens and care to shed any light on them? thanks in advance

so I finally picked up my new bass, went for an ibanez sr500 as got an absolute bargain! such a beaut of a bass!!! lovely sound a great to play. thanks to everyone who commented

bass sounds lovely, really tempted by getting this or the sr600.

I was torn to be fair with the cort and the ibby mainly for the money saving. I can get a cort for around £380 and ibby around £470. Quite a big saving as there basically the same bass, Internals and pick ups are the same if im not mistaken? Anyone here own one of these?
