Not a bass player but wrote some great songs and sang everything with intensity. IMHO Fitzcarraldo by The Frames is perfect(no bad songs) album. For The Birds and Burn the Maps are also well worth a listen. I will miss his voice.

The Subdudes is already an excellent band.
