Hi, i have a rosewood fingerboard with a black covering and im wondering what it is? Also i i decided to sand the fingerboard down would the rosewood take other finishes ie oils or is the black covering also there as it is harder than the rosewood. Thx

I Have some gouges under the feet of me bridge, if i were to inlay in that position would hide glue be the glue to use. Thx

If the gouges are large enough i would be inclined to inlay appropriate wood veneer and sand it flat. I have of course never tried this so please take that into account. B

I dont have any with me but i remember the eighth inch cable being quite flexible, tying knots is another matter though. I think the kind you mention that would allow adjustment sound awesome. Its either that or put a comealong in there somewhere. Thx
