The wife relented and let me take it to the Jam this morning. It plays so nice and no setup has been done on it yet. It took about 10 minutes to get the tone and response I like going but after that it was bringing down the plaster! Very Very happy!

Its nice to know that Im not the only one that cant touch the new their new hammer!

I have no idea and I told her I wouldn't look at the account. We did have a personal Xmas budget of 300 or less per person and we left the store with the bass and a new (nice) gig bag to go with it.

Oh yea, cant play it anymore until Christmas... Grrrrrrrr.

I've been jamming with a group of guys here in Katy & Houston for the past few months. I have to say its been freaking fantastic!, so thank you all again for the push to put myself back out there! At the last jam I recorded the session with a pocket recorder and sent the resulting tracks out...

Thanks, I'll take all the ones I have done and and start doing them up. Believe I will do both bass only and with some sort of music. The one thing I cant stand is the machine like perfection of the midi.... No soul, no grove but then again hearing a clinical representation my be what...

I'm working on a little project. I am putting a few blues patterns together for instructional purposes. Nothing definitive, but hopefully enough for someone to get of feel for improvising some blues jams. I can post the PDFs here if anyone is interested.

Update: Im getting off pretty easy. I've already fixed the power cord for the mixer. Will fix the power cable for the USB drive tomorrow (don't need it at the moment). All I've got to buy is two 10' patch cords. Could have been much much worse.
