Fender puts out some killer basses... I have an older one, a '78 P/J and that bass sounds killer. Maple neck, ashe body,, heavy but the tone is amazing. Have a '62 reissue J-bass and that bass is also awesome. I use them 200-250 gigs a year and they always sound great. I have a couple of Mexi...
