    SGC Nanyo club!

I've had a search around and there seems to be quite a bit of interest in these so lets see just how many TBers have one and why you have it. Heres mine- It doesn't say made in japan but i'm led to believe all sgc nanyo basses were made in japan, other Bass Collection basses were...

    DIY sansamp BDDI clone

OH yeah, forgot to mention i added a 5k resistor between blend wiper and level pot. this cures a silent spot when blend and level are at extremes. did you find a better cure Doug?

    DIY sansamp BDDI clone

Thanks Doug. After a good band practice session yesterday i'm pretty pleased with the project. the guitarist cut his highs and lows which sounded good with my mid scoop. i may well do the mids mod though. more control is always a good thing. i was thinking of pulling R25 and tapping in there...

    DIY sansamp BDDI clone

it's hard to put a cost on it, i've got loads of bits lying around so it's cheap for me. to build it from scratch for someone would probably cost as much as you'd pay for the behringer one.

    DIY sansamp BDDI clone

had a good play around with it tonight, sounds great through the PA, nice round tone and very controllable overdrive. now i just need to box it up.

    DIY sansamp BDDI clone

Hi Doug. I've seen some of your posts on this project, good pics too, was that a 1590BB box you put it in? must have been a tight squeeze. the levels i'm getting are instrument level and i'm looking for line level for recording. Yeah, i thought of boosting before the tone stage, but didnt want...

    DIY sansamp BDDI clone

Ok i'll find a better link. it's the triangular ear bass21 traced by diz. if you've built one you know what i mean, if you havn't, that probably looks like gobbldygook. lol. edit-better link. Invalid Link Removed

    DIY sansamp BDDI clone

Hi guys. Having just built this Link Removed I put it on the scope to see how the frequency response and distortion looks. seems ok but it really cuts the mids around 800Hz. output is also low so i added more gain in the output buffer. has anyone else built it? if so how did you get on and...

    Question about Farting

+1 on adding a second cab. it allows you to turn the volume control down to a level where the speakers don't fart but you hear the same sound level as before.

    volume problems

sounds like the cold end of the volume pot is not grounded. if you post the diagram you used i can comment further.

    DIY Effect Makers (club?)

Compressor and envelope filter are pretty easy. anything involving delay/chorus etc usually (not always) needs expensive delay chips. Think you might have to go digital for a looper with any usable loop length.

Suggestions for my first bass effect pedal?

+1 on the B2. I got mine (cheap) to play around with effects and see what's out there. Once you Know what you want you can buy analogue pedals dedicated to the sounds you like. I like it's amp models more than it's effects to be honest.

    I fail at wiring

Drawing looks fine. either way works for tone wiring. If you have a multimeter, check the resistance of each pup, they should be the same. i suspect you may have a dodgy pup. also check they are wired in phase or they could cancell each other out. doubtfull on a p setup though. also.... if...

    Noisy Electronics

Hi Andy. I've not come accross a wiring setup like this before. you dont say what value the tone pots are but i'd recomend either cutting out the wiring to the noisier pot or wiring it as per one of the wiring diagrams that are all over the net. emg website shows lots of variations, take your...
