From personal experience with my own Revsound, it feels like forever when you're waiting for it. It's a one-off hand built cab made just for you, and Dave is a one man shop. After 5 years I'm still playing the cab and it's as good as new, and I've forgotten how long it took.:)

I'm using a SunJoe 24v cordless drill battery. It's 2.0 AH. The Interbass makes a cleaner sound on battery than AC because you get just a tiny bit of gritty noise from the stepping power supply. I now use it entirely on battery even for performance.

Deep Talking Flats

I had the exact same sound on my DTF medium scale G string. Particularly bad on the 3rd to 5th fret. I took the string off and re-installed it, being careful about twist. The weird harmonic went away, so I'm pretty sure it's related to twist. Loose winding on the core, maybe?

I play folk-style music with a number of exclusively acoustic instruments. The formula that works for me is a hollow body bass with flats into a 45w battery powered amp. Lots of low end on the EQ so I don't overlap other instruments and make the sound more omnidirectional.

I tried the Interbass on a 65w Dell laptop power supply. It puts out around 19.5v at a rated 3.3 Amps. It worked just fine. The Interbass never actually draws 3 amps in normal use. That's a peak current.
