I might be able to help you get that song. I am not willing to pirate a copy but I will do my best to get you a copy thru. a source here In Missouri. He deals in old vynyl and if you buy one he will make a digital copy to send with it I use his business often as I am an old vynyl junkie myself
There is a song called Dr. Bones by the cherry poppin daddies. Massive SVT tone. Paul Goddard would be proud. A.R.S. will always have the bass tone ( just my opinion )
Well It appears I am not the only one left. I saw Paul and the ARS many, MANY times during my childhood and beyond. You all have made another old guy smile.
Nice to hear there are a few of us Goddard fans left. I have a copy of "another mans woman" and that bass solo is my favorite also. My favorite bass lines were on "Spooky"
This is the bassist that truly turned me on to bass. His fills were amazing and im my opinion his tone was the best. I am a bit biased as towards Paul for reasons I'll not mention. ( for you wondering it's not a gay thing either ) I just would like to know if there are any of his fans still...
NEVER, EVER, store your gear in a non climate controlled room. I have over the years have had to deal with people who bring these amps in wondering why they wont work. As on poster stated CONDENSATION! is a major factor. HUMIDITY is another factor. Combine both and you are asking for a repair...
I use rounds on all my basses. I have thought of giving the flats another try also. If I cant stand them, I can always put them on the old 57 P-bass. " I never play it so no harm no foul" I am stuck on wich set of flats to try
T24 owner here. I love this friggin bass. I have a Ric, p-bass, mustang, jazz and a Jay turser that set in cases. This T24 is a true pleasure to play. The others have good points just the T24 has that one thing I perfer, play-a-bill-a-tee :bassist:
I have vintage SVT and 8X10 cab. that was givin to me by my cousin after he retired from playing. I would like to some day have it gone through to bring it back new specs. Sounds like I'd never get it back if it takes them that long to do small repairs. Hope you get it back soon!
I am adding this for those thinking of an ashdown amp. I am using a mag300 and playing a t24 washburn. It has awesome tone control range, plenty of power for small to medium venues. Everyones ear is different but for the cost, it's a great fit. Add an extension cab and it really comes to life...
