Ok wow I was gone for the weekend and didn't expect so much, um well I have a Scarlett 2i2, 2 MXL mics, and as for budget I'm not sure. My guitarist uses reaper, so I'll just use that so I don't have to worry about compatibility issues.

Ok so I'm currently putting together a home studio ImI into Extreme metal in case that's a variable...I need to know what desktops or laptops are good for tracking/recording music as far being able to handle the software (:
The scratching noise that comes over the speaker and my contour knob for sound shaping doesn't work like it should it just goes from one extreme to the other same with my mid shift knob
So on my amp head some of the knobs have developed a crunching sound or on some of the knobs like my contour knob & mid shift it won't contour or do a mid shift what do I do

Ok so I am wanting to make a demo and record vox bass and guitar don't have a drummer so progranned drums for now and I already have 2 mics
Also I am into Extreme metal
So I want to make a home studio, but I'm on a budget. So I was hoping to get some ideas.
I'm wanting to record extreme metal death metal to be specific. Also is this a good deal in the link below? I already have a mic so the one included would just be a backup

So yeah title pretty much says it all what should I do? I have a 5 string tuned B standard & a 4 string with vampyre darklord strings meant for F# tuning I tried Drop E on that one and the tone was so low that it was a tad ridiculous
